In the third part of the Spiderman series, based on the legendary Marvel comics, Peter Parker will finally strike a balance between his love for Mary Jane and his duties as a superhero.
But, as we all now, too much calm may only be the prelude of a fierce storm. While Spiderman receives the public’s adulation for his heroic deeds, Peter becomes overconfident and disregards those who love him most.
This new self-confidence is put to the test when he has to face two of the most feared villains ever: Sandman and Venom. While Sandman will require Spiderman’s best physical abilities, Venom will try his inner strength and will threaten him and the ones he loves.
A new female character, Gwen Stacy played by Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village), will appear to pursue Peter and try to conquer him. Meanwhile, his boss is very upset for the emotional distress Peter and M.J. caused to his son and makes their lives hell. He hires a new investigative reporter called Eddie Brock to find out why Mary Jane rejected his son for Peter.
At the same time, a fugitive who is hiding in a remote beach suffers a terrible accident that turns him into a sand creature. Peter’s research about the past of Sandman put him in contact with a young woman called Gwen Stacy, daughter of the city’s police chief, and a black substance that merges with his costume and gives him new abilities.
Meanwhile, Harry Osbore, who now knows Peter’s secret, is determined to take revenge for his father’s death and starts using a disguise similar to his progenitor’s Green Goblin. He joins forces with Sandman and they both cause chaos.
In the middle of the commotion, live are lost, including somebody close to Peter and the black substance that cover his suit separates from him and merges with Brock. The result is a creature that Spiderman may not be able too stop.
Tobey Maguire comes back in this third part as Spiderman accompanied by Kirsten Dunst (Marie-Antoinette, Elizabethtown) as Mary Jane, Thomas Hayden Church (Spanglish, Sideways) as Sandman, Topher Grace (That 70’s show) as Eddie Brock and James Franco (Annapolis) as Harry Osborn. |
