If you have a firewall which will show you the IP address of an attacker, you would simply place a link (http://68.0.50.57) posting your IP address. To get it to go cmd and type ipconfig. You will send him the link as a website, when he clicks on it, your firewall will alert you of an intruder and it will give you his IP.
There is also another way, you can just send him any file such as a picture, keeping the cmd opened and ready, type netstat -n.
You will get the list of IP addresses you are connected to, the new one should belong to the person you sent the file to, check the list before and while sending the file.
Also, in case you have a Hotmail account, in the address space, type your friend's e-mail followed by .confirm.to
e.g: person@hotmail.com.confirm.to
